Hamad Al Hammadi is the Chairman of EWEC, leading the Board of Directors in focusing on critical pathways that foster effective long-term planning and enhances performance. Hamad plays a vital role in shaping the strategic direction of the company, in alignment with its mandate to realise the vision of the Abu Dhabi and UAE governments. His vast experience in business development and portfolio management guides his leadership of EWEC, where he oversees the implementation of an effective corporate governance structure, comprehensive risk management framework, and a transformative long-term strategy that positions EWEC at the forefront of the global energy transition while simultaneously ensuring the security of supply across the UAE.
In addition to his role at EWEC, Hamad serves as a Deputy Group Chief Executive Officer at ADQ, where he manages the growth and development of companies within the Energy & Utilities, Healthcare & Life Sciences and Sustainable Manufacturing clusters. He specialises in business development through engaging in deal sourcing, value creation, and turnarounds. Prior to joining ADQ, Hamad worked at Mubadala Investment Company, where he participated in the creation of high-profile projects across three sectors, including Utilities, Industry, and Financial Services.
